Future warfare will be fought by robots, unmanned aerial vehicles and perhaps, even androids. The military has always been fascinated with automatons where they do all fighting, killing and dying. Forget about dying, such killing machines will roll in the battlefield pretty soon!
However, you will fall in love with Johnny 5 if you have seen the classic eighties film Short Circuit. He's like the predecessor of Wall-E but with a more serious matter in mind - Johnny 5 is a prototype military robot. Currently, unmanned ground vehicles are mostly bomb detector and hazard waste disposal units. Once we perfected voice control technology and artificial intelligence, we may be seeing Johnny 5 for real.
