Modern technology has allowed us minimize the use of physical button so that your display systems now allow us to interact directly via touch screen control. What we see, we can choose and even manipulate.

However, a great leap forward in touch interface without the need to literally touch a physical button is now at its infancy. Kinect technology from Microsoft's XBox allows us to control things via gestures and body movements. However, it was in the 2002 Minority Report where such technology became popular.
