This witty silent film showcases the futuristic visions of London landmarks by way of a 'magic' camera. But while its gleeful inventor turns out to be an escapee from the local asylum, French director Gaston Quiribet may not have been entirely barking up the wrong tree with one of his trick shots - which imagines Trafalgar Square flooded by rising sea levels. Could this be a prophetic glimpse of our great capital's fate? We all know that there is a global sea level rise in recent years and soon London could be inundated by water.

His camera is a window to the future as it envisions a flying airship landing on top of the House of Parliament. It seems a high-speed train now runs on top of the London Bridge while the river is reclaimed to give way to a super highway. Laying bricks won't be magic, that's for sure!
