Illustrator and artist Arthur Radebaugh has envisioned a future where farmers operate an army of automated machines that are remotely controlled to operate their farms from planting to harvesting crops. Everything is controlled by push-button technology so that farmers just fly over the area with their personal copter control tower.
We have already developed hydrophonics where we can now plant on water solution instead of soil so by the time we can efficiently produce all kinds of fruits and vegetables without the need for large tracts of agricultural land then these mechanized agricultural automatons would be rendered obsolete in the future.
Cities will become more crowded and people will expand to the suburbs to find more livable land. It will reach to a point that land will be so precious that we don't have enough space to farm!
