It is envisioned that in the future, natural reproduction is outlawed as humans seek the perfect human specimen. The slight imperfection is eradicated just like in "Gattaca." The Japanese on the other hand sees it the same way as well as seen on popular magazine "Shonen Sunday."
Babies are farmed in factories operated by robots. The specimens are genetically enhanced and somewhat injected with various concoctions of serums and chemicals to create superhuman beings. But as artificial intelligence grow, robots will probably integrate themselves in the "farmed" specimens in order to create a hybrid that has all the best qualities of robots with all the human sensibilities.
If we humans thought about fighting against the system, the robots will probably destroy us and maybe create their new, hyper-intelligent race of super-beings!
